I had one lesson and it bored the shit out of me.
Plenty of decent books and Youtube clips to get you playing, it's all a case of whether you actually 'want it' or not.....

Winstone is right, if you genuinely want to learn, save your money and go on YouTube. The only true way you'll improve is time and dedication. There's no quick route, unfortunately.

We live in Harold Wood, head out to Barleylands for a guitar lesson for my son each week.
Generally pretty good.

I learned samba pa ti from Marty Schwartz videos and gradually added my own bits. One of my best pressies this yr was a plectrum maker.
